In order to manage the dynamic creation of objects, it was necessary to create a complex counter. The gemnotes_counter object manages the number of objects in a voice, their proportional rhythmic positions and attributes such as beamed groups and ties. This is the help file in its current incarnation, but the object is continually being developed as it is the “brain” of the gemnotes system. Any future objects such as articulation and tuples will be incorporated into this object.
